Next Event Discussion – We would like to announce our next event at Library this Wednesday. Agreed that we will do a End of Suburbia/Power of community movie/discussion at the Library. Elizabeth will book the library. May 20th is the preferred date. May 13th is the fall back date. Niall to download Power of Community video.

Preparation for Wednesday – Presentation needs to be updated with modified resource list, plus 2 slides showing two next events. Niall to update presentation. Ben to send next presentation flyer to John to update with our event timing and forward to Niall for placement in presentation.

Hands free microphone – Elizabeth to check into hands free microphone options.

SEED posting for event – Elizabeth to send SEED posting reminder.

Personal List reminder – Team to send out reminders to personal contacts.

Press release – Further outreach in lieu of NY article. Elizabeth to send generic press release to Boston Globe.

TN e-mail address – Ben has secured transitionnewburyport@gmail.com. How will we use this in the future – further discussion.

Workgroups – Discussed the possibility of raising awareness and developing work groups at the same time. This will give a positive action of what people can do once they become aware of Climate Change and Peak Oil. What is the best way for us to help the workgroups form and work? Ben to look into how workgroups are working/connecting via ning and wiki.

IG Members – The workload for the IG is BIG. Team members are concerned on how we are going to achieve everything. Agreed that we should actively recruit 2 more people. Rob would like to volunteer where it makes sense but cannot commit to being a IG member. Monitor and actively seek IG members as we raise awareness. Ning Site – It would be great to have a new members section at the ning site. Elizabeth to follow up with this.

Follow up e-mail – Discussed that it’s a good idea to follow up with people in a follow up e-mail. Ben to look into being able download people the actual presentation and audio.

Maudsley Park Event – Elizabeth will print off 50 tri-folds for Wednesday and send out the file. We can use these on Wednesday night and at the table on Sunday.

The 1st Annual Earth Expo will take place from 11-3 PM on April 26th at Maudslay State Park Arts Center Barn. Next meeting

The next meeting will be on May 4th at Ben’s. The focus will be on the collaboration meeting, Forming Workgroups and raising awareness.
